Swine Flu

For me I think H1N1 swine flu is like a very very bad cold. It can cause headaches and all over the world it has killed people. In Britain a patient died in hospital but they did say that she already had something wrong with her.

The most people to have died from this flu are in Mexico. On the news I saw people in Japan, Mexico and even New Zealand, wearing face masks. There is a 10 year old boy with his face covered and he said that he was afraid coming through Auckland Airport.

A year 12 student at Westlake Girls High has been diagnosed with H1N1 and she had not been in touch with anyone from overseas. As a result, 450 students have to stay at home.

How bad is swine flu? Have your say!

I think swine flu is not exaggerated because it has killed a lot of people and pigs, and if we forget about swine flu, even for a month, it could strike back and kill thousands of people who aren't prepared. If you don't keep your hands clean before you eat you could get swine flu and that wouldn't be good. So be careful because swine flu may now be spreading through the wellington region! Health officials following up two confirmed cases of the virus. Until now, cases have only been confirmed in people who have caught the virus overseas and arrived in New Zealand, or people who have been in contat with. Do you think people should forget about swine flu? Why?

I don't think that Swine flu is being exaggerated by the journalists. It's a serious strain in the fact that it has the potential to kill you. Although fortunately, scientists have found a counter medicine for the virus. I think that H1N1 Swine flu is an airborne virus because it has spread so fast around the world. As far as I know, Scientist havn't exactly pinpointed the spreading of it. I want to know how swine flu was created and how scientists knew it was from pigs.

Swine flu is definitely getting worse with over 100 cases in New Zealand and over 600 in Australia, the global pandemic has a great chance of getting worse. As the great curiosity of the high speed spread grows higher, means more people and schools across New Zealand are on high alert, people on quarantine and schools not operating. People who have not made any contact with people who have been overseas are also catching the "killer flu", so now many health officials are now suspecting that the flu is spreading via airborne. Although some think the government is exhadurating, in my opinion the government should continue the concern of the many victims catching the flu and should support with the production of H1N1 vaccinations before moren viral cases occur and become increasingly high.

Swine flu, is it really that bad or are we just exaggerating? To me it is half and half. It is very bad for infants because as I found out that Tammi flu is available in syrup but it hasn’t been approved for infant less than 12 months. The Food and Drug administration has recently approved Tammi flu for infants, only for emergencies though. Infants have the chance to live. For adults though they are overreacting because they could just take Tammi flu or relenza within 48 hours of getting swine flu symptoms. If they don’t take Tammi flu or relenza within the 48 hours they need immediate attention. Most of us are overreacting or are some of us just worried that they will die?

Swine flu to me has been over exaggerated.
This so called virus is known to be caused by pigs. The world health organization declared first pandemic in 41 years ago.
Should we be scared? In my opinion it's nothing to be worried about all you need to do is keep washing your hands often, and if you have a symptoms like sore throats, aching muscles, vomiting STAY home. It could stop the spread. Wikipedia said pigs are also called hogs or swine so instead of the flu they remarkbly used the thesauraus changed the word from pig to swine. Officials say that using the word 'swine' is questionable because it was misleading to some people who believed eating pork would lead to the virus.

Swine flu a type of flu a disease a bad deadly cause spread all over the world. And something I don't want and I’m sure you don't want either. 450 west lake students were told to stay home. After a girl fell ill and 1000 people are confirmed cases in Australia. Here are a few things you should keep doing every to prevent swine flu:
Wash your hands all day long
Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
Don’t share food or water with any one or animals
And if you think you might have it be sure to inform local doctor by calling so you don’t infect them or other people if you do have it.
And personally I think it’s being a bit over exaggerated after the incident at west lake but I suppose you have to be careful

Swine Flu has spread in lots of places and apparently 1/3 of New Zealang could end up having it , thats 1 in 3 people. I think they have over-reacted with Swine Flu because its basically on the news every night and its in lots of newspapers but I guess it is quite a serious matter considering you could die from it. Swine Flu is just like the normal flu, you get the same symptoms so if you think your getting the flu be careful because if you did have Swine Flu you could give it to all your friends and family and they could give to their friends and family and so on. So should we be worried? What do you think?

When heard about this "swine Flu" virus I thought it was the "flu" or the "cold", now swine flu has become over exagarated in New Zealand as if you are coming through the airport and cough you are taken to a room and tested for swine flu symptons. At the beginning of this pandemic swine flu cases have ended in death but now doctors have a cure called Tamiflu tablet. Doctors are unsure about how this virus is spreading but they think it is airboure. The government is asking travellers to canel there trips overseas as there is a chance of them picking up this virus. Swine flu is spreading rapidly in South America, Australia and Mexico. Over 100 people have died of swine flu in mexico and here are 600 possible cases in Australia and 521 of them are in victoria(A state in Australia). So whos in charge of this over exagarated pandemic and is it the overseas travellers who are giving us this virus or is it airboure and will this sickness spread and get worse. Well, we will just have to wait and see!!!

A few months ago I was watching One News and all of a sudden all this swine flu information invaded the news. I think people over exaggerated when swine flu first occurred. Swine flu has spread across the whole world with over 70 cases just in New Zealand! H1N1 has been declared as a pandemic. Over 150 people have died from this virus so far. Health workers say they will hopefully have a vaccine next month for swine flu. To avoid catching swine flu wash your hands often and if you have been overseas, isolate yourself for a few days. Think about it. Would you like to have swine flu?

Personly I have not really been following the news of the Swine Flu. I think that the sickness is to be taken very seriously, because you can die if you get infected. But chances of that at the moment is very slim.

I dont think that people should forget about swine flu because yes, it is a terrible disease that spreads very quickly. The reason I think that is because if someones not aware and catches it, they could spread it right around the town and so on. I know I would hate to have it.

YeaH I think swine flu is exaggerated.I think it's just a scientific name that scares every one when it's just like a normal flu, because if you dont treat a normal flu right it could kill you.So swine flu isn't scary at all. People just think it is because of the different name.
