Our Favourite Characters

Hey there Room 6. Well as we embark on our short story experience this term, let me ask you who your favourite character in a story has been. It may be a character from a short story or a novel. Why is it that you like that character? What makes them special? Do they inspire you? How? My favourite character of all time is Jayne Eyre from the novel Jayne Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I love how the character changes and evolves over time. She overcomes great difficulties, all through her life there are mountains she must climb. I love the way that she gets herself all worked up over things that are often un-important.

Another favourite of mine is Scout Finch the main protagonist from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. She is a girl who has a strong sense of justice and struggles to understand why some people are treated unfairly and it is through her eyes that we read the story. It is truly amazing to experience her confusion as she realises that her morals and those of her father are not shared by everyone. As the novel develops, she grows up and it is almost sad to see the disappearance of the young playful character we met at the start of the novel.

So come on Room 6. Who are your favourite characters?

I found this blog quiet interesting about characters http://christinefonseca.wordpress.com/2009/05/03/the-characters-we-love-to-write/

ONE of my favourite characters is Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. Eeyore is the donkey with a pinned on tail with a pink bow hanging on like a leach. Eeyore is gloomy, and quiet. He lives in the 100 acre woods along with Kanga, Roo, Winnie-the-pooh, Piglet, Tigga, Rabbit and Owl whos tagging along with Christopher Robin. Thats why why Eeyore is one of my favourite characters.

I don't really have a favourite character from a book but if I had to choose it would proberly be winnie the pooh.
He's a goldish coloured bear that loves honey. He has lots of friends like piglet and tigger and more. Winnie the pooh is not only in books he features in movies too.
I quite like tigger and piglet aswell but I decided to do winnie the pooh.

My FAVOURITE character is Little Critter from little kids stories such as Just Grandpa and Me, Just Me and my Puppy and many more!
Mercer Mayer is the author of these series and likes to twist the words he uses like... I held Grandpa's hand during the scary parts of the movie so he wouldn't get scared...which in the pictures it shows Little critter scared. Mercer Mayer likes to have little twists in his stories.
If you haven't read any of Mercer Mayer stories I highly recommend that you should read them

I don’t have a favourite book character because I don’t read a lot.
I haven’t read any harry potter books but from the movies I would choose Dumbledore because anything that happens he can joke about it not in the hurtful way but the way that everyone can laugh about.
