Morrinsville Skatepark

http://www.skatepark.org/

We have recently been signing a petition at school asking the council for a skatepark. Steven is writing a speech on the stereotypes people hold about skaters and also presenting an argument for skateparks. Check out the link above it gives a whole heap of information about how to start campaigning for a skatepark in your local area. Room 6 this could be a project for us this year...what do you think? Would you like to see somewhere safe in Morrinsville for you to hang out? What do you think needs to happen? What would you like to see? Where would you put a skateboard?

a skate park would be great cause there are alot of skaters in morrinsvile ( even i can ) and it would be great to have morrinsville skater go pro and reprsent mo-town and nz nationally and maybe we could put it in the main part of town where the shops maybe or next to the plice station so no fight are the skate park

I think Morrinsville needs the new Skate Park because there is a lot of young and old skaters in Morrinsville (including me), who have no-where to skate except our houses and streets.
My only concern is taggin, littering and dodgey people hanging around causing trouble and getting in the way of us skaters.
But apart from that, we really need the new Skate Park.
