Okay so finaly a price watchdog is taking the rising price of dairy foods seriously. Why is it that we in NZ, a major dairy industry have to pay so much for products such as milk, butter and cheese? I can buy NZ butter cheaper in the UK than I can at my local supermarket. When I first arrived in NZ 5 years ago, I could buy a block of butter for $2.00, can you imagine that? I now pay close to $4 for the same product. Current figures say that there has been an increase of 89% in the cost of butter in recent months. Is this fair on ordinary New Zealanders? What should be done about it? The government is making a huge push towards healthy eating, yet the healthiest foods are the most expensive...what is going on? Check out :

I think it is stuped that the price of food is going up because soon people are not going to be able to eat
The price range is getting out of control the goverment has rasid up the price of dairy foods and living also the fuel price has gone up aswell. But the dairy prices have been pushed to the top and its $15 for 1 block of cheese and milk is $5 a bottle. But the dairy farmers are more profits of this disaster. Veges and fruits price range has gon up aswell. I reckon they should lower even 50c off every dairy product.
I think the price of dairy is ridiculas.Most familys are not buying cheese because the price is $15 for 1 block. The price of most dairy food has gone up and i think it should go down.
I don't really care about the price of dairy products because I'm not paying for them!
MSN, Myspace, Bebo or any other chatrooms I have no problem with, it’s just the people who go on them. If you regularly go on these sites you shouldn’t just let anyone on to your site. It’s how you use the site that matter’s, don’t use it to dis or put down other’s.
If you let anyone on your site, it can lead to cyber-bulling from people you don’t even know.
Bebo, MSN, Myspace, or any other chatroom or site needs to be used wisely. Because just about anyone can access them and start harassing you. Or talk about you rudely behind your back for instance:
Last year a woman was sacked for making comments about her boss on her social site and more recently a NZ school admits to searching sites like Bebo to find out what students are up to. Some have even been stood down because of their comments on Bebo.
Therefore you should have to have a license to access these chatrooms, Bebo, MSN and Myspace. These sites can be used dangerously and cruely so having a license should be compulsory.
All the government want us to eat healthy, but how can we if the price of the healthiest food just keeps rising. New Zealand is the country that produces the butter and Dairy products and yet we have to pay the highest price.

I so agree with Steven but however when the dairy products go to high in price parents won't be able to afford it then that means we won't get fed and then i will really care!!
